Interstate 95 continues to be one of the most heavily traveled routes in the country. As one of the main routes ferrying travelers and traffic north and south, it carries a steady stream of commercial and noncommercial traffic. Recently, the Georgia Department of Transportation has been widening I-95, adding additional lanes to improve traffic flow. I-95 connects Southeast Georgia within one hour’s drive to both Interstate 16 (East/West) at Savannah and Interstate 10 (East/West) at Jacksonville. State highways also keep the area well connected and afford businesses quick access to the rest of the state. As of July 2009, U.S. Hwy. 341 provides direct  four-lane access between I-75 in Perry and I-95 in Brunswick.
